A fine 1950s Vintage Schiaparelli velour beaded Hat by Elsa Schiaparelli! This example of the Schiaparelli workmanship features a soft gold velour fabric trimmed with black velvet and intricate bead work all around the band of the hat. It bears the Schiaparelli - Paris label.

Lilly Dache' began her career as a milliner at the age of 15. She was born in France and moved to New York City in 1924. This world famous milliner and fashion designer was quoted as saying "Glamour is what makes a man ask for your telephone number. But it also is what makes a woman ask for the name of your dressmaker." You might get both with this little beauty!
