What is Vintage Clothing?

People have different ways of describing vintage clothing.  Some are quite amusing.  Vintage clothing is not just used clothing.  According to Wikipedia "Vintage clothing is a generic term for new or second hand garments originating from a previous era."  Clothing that was made before the 1920's is considered antique clothing while clothing produced from the 1920's to the 1970's is now considered to be vintage clothing.  The 1980's is a part of the vintage clothing world today also.  The vintage 80s prom dresses are popular with high school and college age women .  Wearing vintage clothing gives a person a certain sense of satisfaction in knowing that you are making a statement by being yourself and not worrying about what the rest of the world is wearing.  The great thing is you don't have to be too concerned about someone else showing up in "your dress" or "your outfit"!
